Recommended safety measures in the context of the outbreak of COVID-19
The recent outbreak of COVID-19 has raised global concerns and we here at FrontCon are aware of the potential outspread of the virus and therefore safety measures during the conference are being taken seriously.
There is nobody from the regions or countries with widespread ongoing virus transmission (such as China, Japan, Singapore, Iran, Italy, South Korea) among our speakers or attendees.
The latest information from the Latvian health authorities shows that Latvia is not among the high-risk zones, there are only a few cases of infection confirmed https://ej.uz/munq.
We are closely monitoring the official recommendations about events and travel, following the guidance from health and government offices. At the moment there are no restrictions on organizing events in Latvia.
The Latvian Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC) has compiled of list of the countries affected by the novel coronavirus disease COVID-19 and has given the recommendation not to travel to Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Iran, China and to carry out special precautionary measures upon return to Latvia from travel there.
One week before the conference we will circulate the most updated recommendations for the safety measures and we recommend participants to evaluate their health condition and reconsider coming to the conference if they had been to the infected areas recently or demonstrate symptoms similar to COVID-19. We encourage people to be responsible for their own and other’s health and safety and look for medical consultation without hesitation.
We want to make sure that the event is maximally safe for all the participants. We will provide extra hand disinfection options at the venue and will instruct the participants to take the precaution measures and respiratory hygiene.
We suggest our attendees get acquainted with the preventive measures recommended by WHO and local health services.
- If you are based in or returned recently from regions affected by the COVID-19, you should monitor your health condition at least 14 days before the conference, and also please reconsider the necessity to attend the conference, if the 14 days have not passed from your last visit to the infected areas.
- If you feel ill (fever and cough) before the conference, please take care of your health first, consult a doctor and reconsider your participation in the conference to avoid contact with other participants.
- For prevention of the virus, wash your hands frequently with soap and water (at least 20 seconds) or with alcohol-based hand rub.
